My mom and my sis were both unbelievably supportive of me during an entire year of catastrophic illness. My mom has gone on to take me into her home, for almost a year now, and put much of her life on hold so I could recover. Normally, we are at a point where I would be taking her in (she’s 80!) but she’s the strong one right now; pretty much always, actually. I’m so blessed!
